The Persimmon collection by Ruby Star Society, designed by Rashida Coleman-Hale, is a whimsical, character-driven fabric line that celebrates friendship and simple joys.

At its heart are two main characters:

Bun E. – full name Bunjamin Hopkins Ears, a playful bunny with a love for quilting.

Simmy – a persimmon who doesn’t yet know she’s a fruit, and who Bun E. has adopted as his best friend.

The story unfolds in a farmer’s market setting, where Bun E. and Simmy go about their day together — coloring, snacking, napping, and dancing — creating a warm, lighthearted narrative.

Prints feature pretty florals, persimmon trees, fresh produce, baked goods, and juice boxes.

Character illustrations include Bun E. and Simmy in various scenes, plus other whimsical motifs like “Joosie Joose” and “Courthouse Steps”.

Color palette is warm and saturated, with coral, periwinkle blue, golden yellow, and rich sienna tones
