Refund and Returns Policy

We are disappointed that you are anything less than IN LOVE your purchase.  If it was our mistake or there are flaws in the product please let us know right away.  We will do everything we can to make it right. Please send us an email at Megan@sewsimplymeg.com within 14 days of purchase and we’ll get back to you about the refund process.  

Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If your order is damaged, incorrect, or missing an item, contact us within 3 days of delivery so we can help.

Please include:

– Your order number
– Photos of the damaged item
– Photos of the outside packaging
– Photos of the inside packaging
– A photo of the shipping label

Please keep the damaged item, packaging, mailer or box, and all packing materials until the issue is resolved. The carrier may require inspection as part of the claim process. If packaging or damaged items are discarded, we may not be able to complete a claim or offer a replacement. If the issue was caused by an error on our end, we will make it right. Refunds or replacements for shipping damage may depend on the carrier claim process and available insurance coverage.

Fabric Color and Dye Lots

We do our best to photograph and describe fabric accurately, but colors may vary slightly due to screen settings, lighting, photography, and dye lots. Color variation is not considered a defect.

Flaws in fabrics

We inspect our fabrics upon receipt and are careful to monitor the quality of fabric when cutting orders. Flaws such as small discoloration, misprints, or small holes or tears can occur and be missed by us. Woven fabrics, including linen and other yarn-dyed fabrics do have natural occurring weaving slubs or insecurities.  We do not consider these to be major flaws.  Rather, this contributes to the character and overall appeal of using these fabric lines.  If you believe your order contains a flaw that has rendered the fabric unusable, please send us a photo in natural light and we will review the situation on a case by case basis.  The photo should be sent to Megan@sewsimplymeg.com.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
For the most part, we do not accept returns or exchanges.  The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

– Cut yardage
– Fat quarters
– Fabric bundles
– Preorders
– Kits
– Sale or clearance items
– Premade/finished quilts or other products
– Patterns
– Digital products

Cut Yardage

Cut yardage is final sale once it has been cut from the bolt. Please review your order carefully before checking out. Cut yardage may only be eligible for replacement or refund if Sew Simply Meg shipped the wrong item or if there is a verified fabric defect. Please inspect your fabric before washing, cutting, sewing, or altering it. We cannot accept claims for fabric that has been washed, cut, altered, or used.

Refunds

If your order qualifies for a refund, we will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Shipping fees are not refundable. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If a return is approved, the item must be unused, unwashed, uncut, unaltered, and in its original condition. The customer is responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to an error by Sew Simply Meg.

Preorders

Placing a preorder means you are reserving fabric before Sew Simply Meg has received it in-house. Your payment is collected when the order is placed, and the estimated shipping timeframe will be clearly listed in the product description. Preorder arrival dates are based on information from the manufacturer or distributor. Occasionally, fabric may be delayed, short-shipped, mis-shipped, or changed by the manufacturer. These situations are outside of our control, but we will contact you if there is an issue with your preorder. Preorders are final sale and cannot be canceled, changed, returned, exchanged, traded, or combined with other orders after purchase. If Sew Simply Meg is unable to fulfill part or all of your preorder, we will contact you with the available options. If preorder and in-stock items are purchased together, the full order will ship when the preorder fabric arrives. To receive in-stock items sooner, please place a separate order.

Order Changes and Cancellations

We begin processing orders quickly. Order changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed. Once an order has been cut, packed, or shipped, it cannot be changed or canceled.

Shipping Address

Please make sure your shipping address is correct before placing your order. Sew Simply Meg is not responsible for packages shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If an order is returned to Sew Simply Meg because of an incorrect address, failed delivery attempt, refusal, or failure to pick up, it is not considered an eligible return. The customer is responsible for additional shipping charges if the order is resent.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Sew Simply Meg is not responsible for packages once tracking shows they have been delivered. Please ship to a secure address. If your package is marked delivered but you do not have it, please check with household members, neighbors, your local carrier, and your local post office. We are happy to provide tracking information, but we cannot refund or replace packages marked as delivered.

Pricing and Price Matching

Sew Simply Meg does not price match other businesses. Prices, promotions, and availability may change without notice. Discounts or promotions cannot be applied retroactively to previous orders.
